Digital Media Planner

M8 is seeking a Digital Media Planner to maintain media objectives, strategies and tactics for client success. The Media Planner must be adept at giving client presentations, managing multiple projects/clients, and working with experts across all digital marketing channels. As such, the Digital Media Planner will be accountable for delivering accurate data, trends and forecasts, delivered in a visual compelling manner with solid methodologies.Tasks include creating daily reports for internal and external clients, while analyzing their performance and suggesting proper courses of action. We are looking for a critical thinker and a proactive number cruncher, with great attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that display, mobile, paid search, social media and other media elements are strategically used to reach client/campaign objectives.

• Leverage your understanding of major media types and vehicles, as well as research resources (ComScore, Simmons, Kantar Media, etc.), to gather and analyze data to support or refute plan recommendations and POVs.

• Assist in the planning, negotiation, buying, implementation, tracking, reporting and optimization of media buys. Generate the paperwork necessary for purchase authorizations and help resolve billing discrepancies.

• Build media recommendations, report optimizations and wrap ups to present to clients.

• Organize vendor meetings, Review vendor media kits, provide POVs and maintain vendor database.

• Meet with industry representatives to gain insight to all phases and points of contact of media.

• Analyze reports and work with the media and ad ops teams to troubleshoot ad delivery and implement needed optimizations and changes.

• Maintain and update status reports on all media initiatives. Help build campaign timelines relating to media deliverables as well as creative spec sheets, and work with the traffic team to ensure proper material delivery to publishers.

• Help communicate day-to-day media-related needs and outstanding project tasks to the account services, ad ops and project management teams for assigned media campaigns.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and communicate innovative, business-building new media recommendations to internal teams.

• Understand the market dynamics each client belongs to, in order to create more comprehensive analyses and conclusions.

 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in advertising agency or related internship(s) a plus.

• 4-year college degree required; concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration and/or communications preferred.

• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• BilingualEnglish/Spanish. Excellent written and oral communication, as well as project management skills.

• Proficient in internet tools (search engines, social networks, and others) and in online marketing (i.e. data tracking, Display, SEM, Email Marketing).

• Solid quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.

• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work within a team.

• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.

• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
